A couple of years ago I started a course on edX, which is a learning platform providing for free (you pay for the certification only) high quality courses from first class universities. In a few words, it is a MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) provider.
What is interesting is that the course I followed is called the Science of Happiness and is provided by Berkeley. The next session of this course will actually start on September 5th 2017, if you are interested.
Personally, this course gave me fundamentals insights on what it means to be happy, and how happiness actually works, from a physical (brain and body) and psychological (mental) side. I also learned how to consider happiness in the different part of my life: at home, at work, with my friends, when helping people, when blogging 😉
And finally, when doing this course, one excellent quizz was provided, coming from the Greater Good Magazine, which provides “science-based insights for a meaningful life”
The quizz is available here and I actually think that it can be useful if you want to know where you are according to mindfulness practices. Some questions really foster self-reflection and it is only a 10 minutes quizz (25 short questions).
In terms of references, the quizz has been developed by researchers at La Salle University and Drexel University, led by psychology professor Lee Ann Cardaciotto.
